My book “Faraway Star” is out!
My latest book is available now, check it out!
This is just a quick update to let you know that as of today (June 11, 2026) my science fiction novel, Faraway Star, is now available, at least in ebook versions, across various online retailers. The Amazon Kindle version can be found here, but it’s up on various other sites as well, such as Apple (here), Barnes & Noble (here), and Kobo (here). The paperback version is taking a bit longer to get ready, but there will be a paperback version available too, likely starting on June 17, as well as an audiobook version.I’ve been talking about it for a long time, but now you finally have a chance to read it for yourself!
I’ve done a number of articles on this blog about various aspects of Faraway Star. An index of them appears at the end of this one. If you’ve been following it, you may know that I wrote the original story that became this book in 1993, when I was in college, and it’s been by far the book that had the longest gestation period of any I’ve written. The themes of it, including peace, resistance, protest, love, diversity and antifascism, are even more relevant today than ever before in the long time it took to write it.
If you’re a regular reader of my stuff and want to support me, the best way to do so would be to buy the book and then leave a review of it, especially if you buy the Amazon version. This will help boost it in the rankings and gain more readers.
Just a note: neither the cover art of Faraway Star, nor any of the conceptual images used to promote it, are AI-generated. They’re all done by real human artists, and it’s infuriating that I have to say that—and even more infuriating that when I do say that, sometimes I’m not believed. But don’t get me started on that.
Thank you all so much for your support, it means a lot. I hope you enjoy Faraway Star, and get something worthwhile out of it.
