Merry Jewish LGBT Black Jesus Byzantine Pagan Chinese African Christmas!
Have a wonderful holiday!
I don't expect a lot of people will be reading blogs on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and I myself will be preoccupied with family matters as we all should be this time of year, so this will be short. Whether you celebrate Christmas or something else (or nothing, for that matter), whether your Christmas tradition involves eating Chinese food, sticking your head into clouds of billowing incense in an Orthodox cathedral, dancing around a pagan bonfire or reciting the African Pledge and the Principles of Blackness, do it well, happily and with all your heart.
The header image for this article is a little pastiche I threw together for my original early-2010s-era blog on the occasion of the holidays with my then very rudimentary Photoshop skills. It is now a decade old, but I'm still fond of it, so it gets a new lease on life this Christmas. Have a great holiday season and I'll see you again soon.
