Blog hiatus: Gone to sea.
"They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters..."

A housekeeping announcement: the Garden of Memory blog will be closed for the next couple of weeks. I’ll be on vacation—at sea! Among other destinations, I’ll soon be crossing the Atlantic aboard the Queen Mary 2, the only true ocean liner operational in the world. (The QM2 is most definitely not a “cruise ship”—there’s a difference). This will be my second time crossing aboard her, the first having been 17 years ago, longer ago than I care to appreciate. I’ve long been fascinated by the ocean and ships, particularly passenger liners, so to get to travel aboard one for the second time in my life is definitely a dream come true.
We’ll be back to business as usual, I hope, in November. We’re closing in on the end of this blog’s third year of life and I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish during this time. Even more than my YouTube channel or my courses site, I consider this blog my digital home and I’m happy to be able to share my thoughts with all of you from time to time. Thank you for reading, and for being a part of this community.
